Bitter Tart (TLT)

This is a three line tales submission. Not sure I’ve got the hang of it, yet, so feel free to point me in the right direction. Thanks to Erol Ahmed for the photographic prompt.

As the perkiest lemon in the fruit bowl, it was only natural Tony should want to be a still life model. Sadly for him, artists were only interested in bruised apples and shrivelled grapes; he didn’t have the requisite character, they said. Poor sod ended up turning to drink.

  1. You’ve created a splendid tale in three lines based on your inspiration from the photograph. As far as I am concerned, you’ve gotten a perfect handle on the challenge. 🙂 The notion of the lemon dreaming of being a still life model (some form of immortality we all dream of?) is great.

  2. Wow, such a unique take. Will surely draw a lemon next time I do a still life! Hang in there Tony😀

  3. Just love what you did in these three lines! I feel bad for poot Tony who appears to have been caught between a rock and a hard place 🙂
